I think the reason why the street vendor didn't know about Emilia is that in this life that stuck Emilia found his kid, and reunited her with her mom in the city, which is what happened in the first life, afterwards they spoke to the vendor separately, but since Subaru wasn't there, Emilia didn't have any incentive to go to the vendor, so they never had that moment where they all met each other while Emilia and Subaru were talking to the street vendor and the mom came up with the daughter and explained that they had helped find their kid, at which point the vendor became nicer to them .

I know she already watched S1, but did Dani ever watch the two Re:Zero OVA specials? If not, do you think she'll be joining you for the Memory Snow and Frozen Bond reactions? I know you've told us that the OVAs are already on your radar, but I can't remember if you mentioned Dani.

Everything you guys said is so right. I like Subaru but I also hate him soooooo much. He is so damn stubborn, everyone at the city is trying to teach him something but he just refuses to open his mind and ears to listen. He entirely believes only he can save everyone and that he has to do it alone. He thinks just cause crusch said what she said, that she is a bad person when she really isnt. He even got upset at Felix’s advice. Subaru irritates me so much o gosh ;-;

The kid and vendor thing. Where he described Emilia to Subaru was like the 2nd or 3rd life. In the final life she did still find the kid, but remember who Subaru and Emilia gave the kid to? Yes the mom. In each life we are to assume she did the same thing, she always found the kid and got her safe to her mother and at some point she was taken to the vendor for some appas as a thank you. HOWEVER in the final life, remember Subaru ran into Reinhard right? He told him to tell Emilia not to go to the shack in the slums. We are from here to assume that he ended up running into Emilia, gave her the message of not going to the shack. As we know emilia went to the shack but on her way there she probably still found the child and gave her to the mother and left in a rush (never got to meet the dad vendor and didnt get appas), OR she skipped the finding the child entirely (which I dont think she skipped saving the kid because she had that little flower or wtv it was that the little girl gave her). Basically in the final life she did still save the little girl but just never met the vendor dad because she gave the mother the child and left in a rush to the shack.

This is what makes Subaru an interesting main character to me. The show does not shy away from his ugly side and takes him on a journey of becoming a better person.
