i just lost my sister to a shooting and she was a huge AoT fan and got me into your channel, since she didn’t have the chance to watch the series end, i’m watching in her place. watching this reaction seriously hits hard. 💔

thereactpack

Our condolences. 🤍 what was your sister’s name? We are so appreciative of you both, thank you for joining us for this breathtaking series. -Sam

I havent been the same since i finished this. AOT was not only my favorite anime but my favorite piece of fiction ever since i watched it in 2021. I loved every minute of it and i will always be an Eren stan thats my boy. Just cant believe its actually over now. No more waiting for a year for a new season or episode to drop its done.

Nolan L Thomas

Damn man, I'm sorry to hear that. Deepest condolences to you. I hope the ending fulfilling was to your satisfaction.

Nolan L Thomas

This might be unpopular opinion or Hot Take, but I'm not the massive AoT fan. Don't get me wrong, I really like the series and do enjoy, but for me it's not this magnum opus as it is for some. But I'm very happy that the hardcore fans for this climax. I truly hope the ending was satisfactory for y'all. Watching with you lovely ladies definitely enhanced the series for me. Can't wait to hear what Nicole and Parker think of it.

olivia

@The React Pack, thank you! Her name was Evelyn

olivia

it’s a beautiful name. i didn’t even know you three were sisters lol, but i can see it now

Kaito

idk if you guys caught it but the bird at the end was supposed to represent eren being reincarnated as a bird supposedly since he loved freedom and birds can go anywhere! loved the reaction as always!

Jack SV

I’m glad you guys enjoy it. Me personally I didn’t like maybe..80% of this ending. It didn’t ruined the whole show for me but it definitely lower my score from a 9/10 to 7/10. Great show with a very messy and disappointing ending in my opinion.

Josh

What a beautiful journey! still teary eyed ngl 🥲

Nolan L Thomas

I'm very happy for the massive fans of this series

demetri

Damn its rare to see an anime watcher dislike the ending since this episode came out. Im a manga reader and Ive seen nothing but praise and appreciation for this ending from anime watchers(they did change the dialogue a little bit). Me personally, I loved it but to each their own.

demetri

Being a huge AoT fan, I can't promise you that I wont feel a post-series depression. I know you guys might too! But im happy to be alive being able watch this beautiful show. I will never forget this show and it will most likely be my favorite piece of fiction for a long time.

Jack SV

Ohh I’m a manga reader and I was actually expecting the anime to change my mind about the ending but it didn’t lol

demetri

It actually made it better for me even though I liked it before. I know it might be a common occurance for a manga to end and for the ending to be controversial only for the anime to come out with the ending and it ends up being well recieved. I saw so many people confused on why some manga readers hated the ending.

Seth-San

It’s funny because Mikasa Did ended up being with Jean for the remainder of her life, I’m very surprise the anime didn’t show a close up like the manga but I get why, fans would riot 😂 overall I’ll admit when I read the manga I hated the ending but it translated to anime way better because it showcased the characters emotions in the dire situation they were in through the anime voice actors and it was the perfect ending for the series.

James

I started watching AoT 10 years ago, and it's hard to believe that it's over now. And congrats to Hajime Isayama for creating a masterpiece. Whoever thought a 19 year old from a farming community in Japan would help create a generation-defining franchise on a global scale, and good luck to whatever other adventure he decides to pursue.

2023-11-08 19:22:07 People that didnt like the ending were either not big AOT fans, wanted a happy ending, wanted an ending where Eren kills everyone(yeagerist fans), and others who thought there were SOO many plot holes(there was barely any plot holes left 😪). That okapi/cow titan was very much clearly a cart titan but ai can understand people maybe confusing it with the beast or Jaw titan like Mikasa 😂

Id like to briefly explain something at the end. 1) No its not because Eren’s head is a mess that he thinks he sent a titan to kill his mom. HE LITERALLY DID send that titan to kill his mom, Ymir had nothing to do with that because Ymir has absolutely no control over living titans. She creates the titans people transform into but she has no control over the live ones because she is dead. The person who has royal blood, or if someone like Eren touches someone with royal blood, can control the live titans. Ymir can control the titans that are already dead. Basically, Eren killed his mom and controlled previous attack titans, to a certain extent, to lead to his birth. 2) Now next I want to make sure everyone knows that this all happened because Eren is an absolute idiot with no brain. He himself admits and gosh im so fuckin glad he did. He went through all possible outcomes that EREN could think of. They included this to basically let us viewers know that this WHOLE story could have been different if someone smart like Armin or Erwin would have gotten the founding titan. They could have came up with plenty other outcomes, and probably smarter ones than Eren, to test. They could have came up with something that brought peace (even if momentarily because peace never lasts as we saw at the end). 3) The thing with Ymir, she loved King Fritz and couldnt bring herself to kill him even though she knew that what he was doing was wrong (oppressing every race using Ymir’s titan powers). Even after her death she continued obeying his order of creating titans in the paths, all because of her love. Exactly just like Mikasa. Mikasa loves Eren so much that she was still trying her best to convince everyone to keep him alive even though he was committing mass genocide. In the end when she managed to have the resolve to kill Eren while still being fully in love with him, it opened Ymir’s eyes and gave her the rest she so badly needed. 4) Eldia’s government is the Yeagerists with Historia still being their queen. The crew on the boat were going back to Paradis, they are no longer considered to be from Paradis (they are traitors to them remember?). Armin, Jean, Connie, Reiner, Pieck and Annie are all from the allied nations trying to make a peace deal with the eldians from Paradis. As we see at the end, it works! Peace happens and thats when we see paradis grow little by little granting our crew the peace they all wanted. It even lasts for many more years because we see them grow even more into a very modern city until..of course war happens yet again. They go to war, we see their city be destroyed really bad but obviously people still live there. 5) then at the very end..yep Dani called it. We basically see the kid enter the tree which is very much like the tree that Ymir went into. That kid will go in there, find the same parasite(probably living off of Eren’s head and Mikasa’s body) and bring titans right back into the world. Is he eldian? Maybe he is from a different race? Maybe this time it isnt eldians but a different race who finds it? 6) of course I always agreed with Armin and Marco that they should have talked things out and made peace(even if that peace ends in future generations) BUT if they wouldnt go with peace talks I still stand with Zeke. The Euthanization plan was 100% the way to go if there was not going to be plans for long peace. His plan did not involve KILLING, people misunderstand that. He wanted all currently living Eldians to live in peace until they die of old age PEACEFULLY, with no more birthing eldian babies. He would basically tell the world “ok, yall leave us alone in peace and we will all die off by ourselves alright?” If the world refused or broke their deal then obviously he could release the rumbling on them. If I was an eldian in their world, id much rather prefer to just be allowed to live my life in peace and die peacefully without having kids. I would not want my kids to suffer the world’s stupidity of constant war. With this I get to live and die in peace AND I wont make my kids suffer because I wont have any!! FUCK THIS SHOW’S WORLD ID RATHER PEACE TF OUT ✌️ YALL CAN DEAL WITH YALL BS LOL GO FUCKIN FIGHT EACH OTHER IN WARS, WE IS TF OUTTA HERE ✌️

PyroPhoenix

O RIGHT I FORGOT TO MENTION.. hehe 😏 Yall remember episode 1? Remember what Eren said and how he woke up? Lol he woke up crying, now yall know why 😁 Isayama is an absolute goat 🔥 he planned this from the very start, I kinda thought so that he had planned it from the start but he finally said so in an interview. He had how he wanted to end it basically planned out from the start

eren1320

Nah one of the reasons this happened is because the power of founders influence messed his head up

PyroPhoenix

The founders had no influence at all whatsoever unless someone with royal blood had it. Anyone who isnt royal blood just saw all the memories, past & future too. He used the power to play out multiple different outcomes to see which was the best future(this was honestly the smartest thing he’s ever done, im surprised he tested different possibilities) but in the end his best idea was mass genocide. His head was definitely a mess but he himself was the one making the decisions based on the ending he wanted the world to have, with the information he had available. He controlled Kruger and his dad to lead to his own birth. He made the titan go eat his mom to grant him that hatred to start this whole story. All just for a stupid idea that he thought was the best outcome. Armin could have dealt with this so much better 🥲

Nolan L Thomas

Welcome homie, I know what it’s like to lose a sibling. It’s devastating, I’m happy that you were able to reconnect with your sister though AoT.

MishkaTho

Isayama broke Dani 😭🥲

Number 5 is a huge reach. Weird Erin/Mikasa parasite asspull aside; Zeke made it very clear that the reason why Ymir turned into a Titan was because she desired an immortal body at a time of great desperation. Even the parasite is there, who knows what powers it would grant him considering what that boy's actual circumstances are. Also wouldn't matter what "race" he would be before he gains powers, just that whoever descends from him would have the potential to use his powers in the future. Only people descended from Ymir could turn into Titans, it just so happened that everyone not descended from her in Paradis died out if they didn't mix into her line somehow.

Dimmn Ichihara

when i read the ending of Attack on Titan in the manga, i couldn't accept it ... it's too much! i can't empathize with it, but i had to grow up and accept it, the story doesn't end badly, i mean: eren achieves his goals in the worst possible way but with the best results for his friends, mikasa lives a long life without the person he loved all his life, and armin's efforts are worthless because years go by and people forget and the effort of a few is nothing ..... ...! wait, it's not as good an ending as I expected, I hate it when the author puts the protagonist in a situation where he has no choice, and only chooses between self-sacrifice for the greater good. I don't hate Attack on Titan, it is simply a work that I love, for that reason I feel that it should have taken another direction, the author in interviews that he gave, said that: he didn't expect to conclude the work this way, that he also wanted a happy ending ... but it didn't happen, it only remains to say that this is a realistic ending, and it is necessary to accept it, if possible to learn from this. It only remains to say that the story of Eren, Mikasa and Armin concludes here, they did what they had to do, but the story of Attack on Titan continues with other protagonists and another story, that the author said it will not continue, so that story is for the imagination of each one, but if he thought of taking a Spin of the story of Levy as a child ... or something like that I read. this is my opinion and I hope it is not uncomfortable or tiring to read :3

Nolan L Thomas

Very Happy that Levi was able to fulfill his final order from Erwin. His ending definitely hit me in the feels.

PyroPhoenix

That’s the thing, it wouldnt be much of a stretch if you remember how Ymir was living. She was oppressed by the eldians and when she found the tree she was being chased. This kid may not be getting chased but he is living in a place that others destroyed. It looks like he isnt doing very well and id assume neither is anyone on paradis island. He would probably wish for something to help them fight back against the people who are doing this to them. Whoever did this to paradis destroyed it and even after destroying it they STILL sent even more bombs to destroy them even more. The conditions are not exactly the same but very much similar because they are being fucked up and probably oppressed. As for the race, yea the race doesnt matter too much until he gets whatever power from the parasite (which seeing Isayama’s writing and understanding his message), will probably some shape or form of titans again. Once he has that power, any kids he has will all have his power (hopefully he doesnt go mad with power and starts doing the things King Fritz made Ymir do or maybe he is being forced to do things by a new version of king fritz or something). If he does then he will create a whole new bloodline therefore whatever race he is will be considered monsters. Thats why I said i wonder what race he is? Because whatever race he is, if he bangs girls 24/7 with his powers and has a bunch of babies the new “eldians” would be whatever race this kid is. Of course this is all speculation, the ending is definitely meant to show a circular ending which isnt very common in stories anymore. A story that ends the same way it started. It started with ymir finding a parasite and gaining power of the titans, it ends with a kid finding the parasite and getting the power of titans 🤷‍♂️ Circular endings are amazing if they are done correctly and Isayama did it wonderfully

I stumbled upon yall's reactions of AOT randomly on YouTube a year or so ago. That's literally the reason I joined the patreon. I'm thankful for yall's amazing and heartfelt reactions to it all this time. Pieck reactions to a Pieck story.

ThaDoubleB

A lot of what you said is just straight up incorrect and contradicted by the story.

diamonddog 103

I've been watching this series since I was 12 and now, 10 years later, it's concluded. I'm sad it's over but am happy with the way it ended. By the way, in the manga, the first thing we ever see is Mikasa saying "See you later, Eren", which were her final words to him in this finale. However, WIT Studio did not include this in the anime for some reason. It's crazy to think that Isayama had the story planned all along!

Alex Mouny

For those who want to suffer a little more at Eren's grave, it reads, "My most beloved dear, rest peacefully here forever. 854"

Ken

Glad you guys picked up on the fact that Ksaver was the Lamb/Goat looking Beast Titan. Feel like so many others missed it.

As a manga/anime viewer, my take on the parasite from what was said here and there and what was shown, The parasite doesn't grant you anything really, the Hallucigenia only wanted to stay alive and probably bonded with Ymir knowing she also just wanted to survive, which ultimately fused with her in terms of evolution to become a greater being. As stated from Zeke when it shows a bunch of sea creatures from Cambrian explosion, he talks about living organisms multiplying and evolving to stay alive which in technicalities is why the Hallucigenia survived so long being passed down into Eldians like a parasite, now with every Eldian being connected and having the power to transform n sht clearly this isn't just evolution, its literally supernatural/magical sht happening. But the overall point is the Hallucigenia for who knows how long has been in that tree, was probably reaching it's end and Ymir just so happened to share the same fate so it latched onto her like a parasite forcing them to evolve

David Caine

ERWIN SAID IN SEASON 3: "Humans will continue to fight one another until the day there is one human or less." Erwin knew the answer to the question before all the drama. Eren's actions would never stop conflict his goals were: 1. For Mikasa, Armin, and the rest of his friends who made it to live long lives after. They did. 2. For that to happen, Eren had to end the power of the Titans. He did. 3. For that to happen, he had to liberate Ymir for Hell, of her own making, and to destroy the Hallucigenia parasite that was not willing to let go. 4. Unfortunately for that to happen, to liberate one soul from Hell, and save countless others after from Titans at least, 80 percent of humanity had to die. That path is what led to the outcomes Eren seeked. The future and past exist simultaneously while affecting each other, it was not a line of time where Eren could avoid a farther point down the line. It is deterministic, but at the same time the intentions of each individuals shaped that destiny. The parasite in the tree at the end, if any, likely won't lead to the same horror of the Titans. Like many end "prizes" or goals in many fictional shows and movies and stories, the final power grants the users their innermost wishes, their subconscious desires. The parasite granted Ymir power not to die, but at the same time she wanted to die to be free of what attached her to King Fritz. And she sought connection, to her daughters, to her people and descendants down the generations. The young boy/girl at the end, calmly exploring with a gentle dog, instead of being chased for his life by rabid mad dogs, they will likely encounter and manifest a very different kind of power inside the tree. PERHAPS SOMETHING THAT WILL RESULT IN PEACE, finally, after eons, the opposite of the horror of the Titans.

Finally got up the nerve to watch this! Watched it for the first time with you girls! Thanks for being a safe space for me to ball my eyes out with y'all!! 🫶🏽
