The thing with this show compared to the last season of Game of Thrones is that House of the Dragon has a source material to go off of, while Game of Thrones books ended on season 5 of the OG series. So sadly they cannot do the last season of GoT, unless GRRM finishes those god damn books!

Just to clarify some things (sorry for a lot of text): - thankfully the scene with Jace and Rhaenyra made it clear but that was Jace at the Wall with the new char, Lord Cregan Stark, current Lord of Winterfell and Warden of the North. The kid being sent to the Wall was one of the Starks, likely Cregan's younger brother or cousin as he said 'mine own kin' - Criston and Alicent having feelings for one another (if not outright sleeping with one another) was hinted at in the past. Alicent's room is actually Rhaenyra's old room as she got moved when she became the Queen Mother and Helaena became the Queen, really highlighting the hyprocrisy that she's now serving pastrami sandwiches and later riding Cole in that same room he took Rhaenyra's virginity. He even lays his white cloak out the same way on the table, only donning it again after sex as though putting his honor 'back on', with Alicent helping him put it on highlighting they really are no better than what they hated Rhaenyra for - Erryk and Arryk Cargyll were named to the Kingsguard at 18, not 8 and 10, seeing a lot of people misunderstand that due to the subtitles. They're identical twins (so how would they be 2 years apart) and eight-and-ten is an old english way of saying 18 - Cheese needed the dog as the ratcatchers use dogs to sniff out and hunt the rats, so technically part of the 'look'. Think he kicked the dog cus he knew he wasn't returning to working as a ratcatcher after he got the rest of the money from Daemon and cus he's a POS - You guys correctly pointed out Helaena's premonition when she said she was afraid of the rats. Not really a spoiler as it was very poignant this episode but also in S1, but Helaena is not just weird as in loony or having strange interests, when Targaryens dream things sometimes it's not just things the mind conjures while asleep. She's been giving warnings and ill omens of events about to happen and no one listens to her or takes her seriously, and it's truly sad to think that Cheese was the only one in the entire show so far who was able to look her in the eyes and see she was telling the truth, as he took her son from her.
