Rufus is still very much a rapist, using his power to assault people on campus and when Jordan saw Marie go talk to Rufus she immediately went to his dorm to stop him, implying it's an open secret that Rufus does this routinely. He just had nothing to do with the mind-wipe of this episode, that was all Cate. I do believe that Cate was telling the truth about her assault at the hands of Rufus, she just used him as a scapegoat in this particular instance. He still very much deserved to be effed up by Andre for what he’s been doing to people even if he was not responsible for mind-wiping our characters this episode. I think the show draws a parallel to real life where sexual assault on college campus' is a serious issue and unfortunately while students tend to know the people to steer clear off, these people are still left free to assault more people. Cause if Rufus does this so often that people know about it, why in the fuck has he not been at the very least expelled ?

I really liked the storyline and the way they told it in this show, so many twist and turns, up, down and around moments. Your reactions to how the mystery is revealed are going to be golden. Cate being the one who is mind-wiping actually makes sense, when they confronted Sam last episode. She was the only person not on the lawn with everyone else. Can't wait for y'all to see how her story plays out.

Yeah don’t get it twisted, Rufus is very much still a scumbag. He did have weirdo intentions with Marie and that is his reputation. I also believe cate was telling the truth about her experience with Rufus, she just used the story to throw them off her case and make them double down on Rufus. He “technically” wasn’t lying when he said he never touched Marie, but that’s only because he was *about* to and never got the chance. He instead tried to flip it on the girls by saying they attacked him, even though Marie’s attack was self defense, and cates was backlash after what happened. Thanks for reading my essay! Lmfao
