In a Sherlock Holmes book, Sherlock is consulted for a murder case regarding a horse racer and his animal prior to a race, and he's asked if anything stood out. I'm paraphrasing, but he said "There's the curious incident with the guard dog in the night". The detective responded "The dog didn't make a the slightest peep". Sherlock then said "That... IS the incident". Abnormal silence (nothing) when you expect noise is itself "something". That's the logic with Yuga and him not speaking up with genuine emotion and feeling when it was the normal reaction for that moment. (Not that silence is always necessarily condemning but one of many tells. The reverse is also true at times. Cool unrelated coincidental detail for the show)
