Serie taking care of a field of flowers that she conjures with a "useless" spell... Serie suppressing her mana like Flamme even if she says its useless... Serie taking care of humanity magic like Flamme asked her to do on her will... Serie really loved Flamme like her own child. Thank you guys for the reaction of my favorite anime. Hope to see a season 2 soon 🙏🏼

This anime was absolutely incredible. I've watched literally hundreds of anime series at this point. And Frieren is definitely my new #1. I was reading the manga as the season progressed simply for comparison's sake. This anime does what most don't, it elevates the source material to another level. I can't wait for the next season. Something I thought was interesting is it seems Serie knows how Ubel's spell stealing works, so denied her the chance to talk and get to know her, otherwise she'd be walking around with thousands of spells.

It seems, that Ubel was thinking about killing Serie the whole time. It's left unspoken, but it's quite in character and apparently meets passing criteria. Fern aside, Serie was looking for people who wouldn't thoughtlessly afraid of her. Land invented remote work before the modern digital age, respect :) Another funny thought, imagine that a century from now, if Serie doesn't get retired of leading the Magic Association, there will be an incredible amount of rumors about the confrontation between Frieren and Serie, young mages will retell gossips about the reasons for the millennial ban: it will be full of legends, conspiracy theories and speculations :) I seems, we have to notice that Lernen is really strong — for all the events of the current days, he's the only one who could actually hurt Frieren in battle. Only her own clone could accomplish that before. For example, Fern tried to sneak attack her in Kings Tomb, but didn’t succeed. Also, it seems he used old fashion human-killing Zoltraak, not new one. And Series =w= face is adorable, common to both her and Frieren, Methode definitely has a soft spot to cute elfs, even if the rest of people see them as fearsome sorceresses :) It looks like Himmel gave advice for viewrs not to be sad because of season 1 ending, its gonna be awkward once we see each other again in season 2 :) "Frieren" encapsulates a profound message of hope and resilience, offering solace to those in dark times. It resonates deeply with idea of emphasizing the importance of cherishing loved ones and embracing personal growth amidst grief. Frieren's journey inspires to treasure memories while embracing new adventures. It is masterful storytelling and flawless execution. From animation to world-building, every aspect shines, earning universal acclaim. Not to diminish the merits of the original and the magnificent work of the mangaka, gratitude is expressed to Madhouse, whole production team, for the adaptation. And thanks for great reaction!

I didn't notice any of you comment on it, so I'm not sure you caught the similarities of the girl in Wirbel's memories that he can't remember well to the one in his party now... :)

Subbed just to watch this early, there's definitely enough material for a second season thankfully, however it was recently announced that the manga has gone on indefinite hiatus so here's hoping that gets sorted before the season comes out

The only thing I read about such a possibility is that, according to some, Madhouse apparently has a habit of never making second seasons for shows, which is a weird claim given that they've made all seasons of Overlord, One Punch Man and many others.

You're right, I didn't notice that. She even said to Wirbel during the first test "I could introduce you to my grandfather, since he's a first-class mage", and that's what she's doing in the image.
