So just a bit of clarification, when Roswaal was saying how he was one of the men that destroyed Ram (and Rems) home, he’s more so meaning he knew it was going to happen (due to the Tome of Wisdom he carries) and allowed it to happen as it worked out for him. He didn’t necessarily take part in its destruction at the hands of the witches cult, only that he knew about it and chose to do nothing until Ram (and Rem) were the only survivors. As for why he did it, it’s because the book told him to, and considering it’s a book that guides someone to the future they desire, he’s essentially a slave to what the book tells him to do, as he sees no other way to attain that future. Hope yous enjoyed this episode however, it’s a bit of a build up episode, so not much to say, but regardless, as I said, hope you all enjoyed and have a great day/night everyone!

Yeah anime really didn't do a good job in explaining that part of Roswaal's speech to Ram. As anime only viewer will just think Roswaal was part of the attack, when he was more a bystander who could have helped but chose not to because of the Tome of Wisdom.

Yeah, it’s one of the glaring issues of the anime - either cut content (especially with Wilhelm at the start of season 2, Iykyk) or just not enough context provided during the scene. But long as there’s a LN or WN reader, they can provide the context of the scene, long as they don’t dive into spoilers and risk ruining stuff for anime only’s lol.

I’m confident some of the content cut from Al in Season 1 and Wilhelm in Season 2 will be adapted or touched on in Season 3. Hopefully the epilogue from this arc as well.

Oh defo, they can easily resolve those two things (Al and Wilhelm stuff) at the start of Season 3, kinda need to if they wanna make future seasons.
