Thank you so much for doing a mailbag! And I appreciated Gareth's comments about vegetarianism... also, cats absolutely need to eat meat to survive (Jose is a carnivore!), and I appreciate Gareth's very nuanced thoughts about the situation.

Seconding the appreciation for Gareth’s thoughtful remarks about vegetarianism. I’m vegan but hesitate to identify as such often because of heaps of odd, holier-than-thou piousness from the vegan camp and judge-y vague hostility from the anti-vegan one. It bugs me that this is often placed into a political category. We ALL need to fight climate change—the Earth doesn’t care about sides. Factory farming is evil. Full stop.
