Warrior Cat OCs WIPs and World-building!! [Sketches + Color Palettes/Markings] (Patreon)

I obsessed over the Warriors cat book series (by Erin Hunter) online very very very early this morning/last night and knew I just HAD to make my own Warrior OCs!! I already spoke about them (a lot) in my Instagram Story but thought I'd write what I said here, as well as some more tidbits on their backstories/personalities!!

Ashpool (left), ThunderClan Medicine Cat:

• Diluted tortoiseshell she-cat with striking icy blue eyes (she's blind) and a somewhat scruffy/disheveled appearance with sticks, feathers, and leaves coming out of her fluffy tail.
• She's very kind and loving, compassionate, and emotionally strainedl. Can be a little sarcastic, in a stinging/biting way, when you get on her bad side. She's also very insecure and worries excessively about how she looks (although she cannot see for herself).
• Backstory: Originally trained to be a Warrior with her mentor Oakleaf (the Deputy of ThunderClan) but then was attacked by a dog and lost her sight. She had a crush on her mentor and was his first apprentice, when he was a younger tom-cat. Once her injury/'incident' happened, she was taken under the wing of the ThunderClan medicine cat and began her training to be the next Medicine Cat. She still loved Oakleaf and he would visit her often in the den. He was quite fond of her, being his first apprentice and by far, the most fun and memorable one. He loved her like he would a daughter and eventually found a mate named Briarsong. They had a single daughter who Oakleaf named Cinderkit, after Ashpool. Cinderkit adored Ashpool and eventually became the Medicine Cat apprentice. Ashpool was very emotionally conflicted but did what she could to teach Cinderpaw without letting her own feelings get in the way. Later on, the Leader passed and Oakleaf became the Leader of ThunderClan! Ashpool was very proud of him and wished him the best in his 9 lives. But time passed and Ashpool grew agitated and upset. Her heart had been broken so many times, and seeing her Leader and love die over and over again, she became emotionally strained and distraught. She knew he was on his last life and she finally came to terms with her romantic feelings for Oakstar. She told him and he accepted it, flattered but concerned. He told her that StarClan would greet him with the love and care she could've given him, but didn't. Briarsong grew suspicious of the two of them and eventually parted ways with Oakstar. Cinderpaw became Cinderbreeze and worked with Ashpool to put her father, Oakstar, to rest.

Quotes:

• "I loved you in every life you've lived. And I'll love you in the next life and the next. In however many times it takes for you to understand." Ashpool whispered to Oakstar, as he breathed his last breath.
• "If you're anything like him, you're wonderful. Loving, caring, and amazing. Everything any she-cat would want." Ashpool says to Cinderpaw, after the news about Briarsong parting ways with Oakstar became apparent.
• "I won't treat him as special, even though he is. I won't tell him he's loved, he already knows that...he has a loving family and that family doesn't include me..." Ashpool tells herself after Cinderkit is born, alone in her den.
• "You're doing great. Just a little push, just a little more love." Ashpool encourages Briarsong during birth.
• "Why are you leaving him?" Ashpool asks almost angrily Briarsong. "Because he loves you more than he could ever love me." she replies. "I can SEE he loves you, I can tell that you are his everything. I'm blind but even I can see that..." Ashpool spats back, before running off into the trees.

Fishleap (right), RiverClan Medicine Cat:

• Brown, faded gray, and orange tom with birch-like markings and heterochromia (one eye's blue, one's green). Has a torn ear, a few feathers in his hair/mane, and two necklaces: a small herb satchel and a pink shell necklace that hangs overtop. 
• He's goofy/comedic, caring, and a hopeless romantic (though being a Medicine Cat, cannot have a mate). He's light-hearted but can be serious when needed. Fishleap is a popular tom-cat amongst the she-cats of RiverClan (and even outside the Clan). He always has a she-cat or two trying to swoon him but he's painstakingly oblivious and doesn't know his humor is endearing to others. His head always seems to be in the clouds and he's a daydreamer (which sometimes gets into trouble)!!
• Backstory: Fishleap always dreamed of being a Warrior and eventually a Leader, even since he was a kit. He wanted to lead the Clan with compassion, care, and a little side of humor too. He believed he could do it and could become the next RiverClan Leader! His older brother was the Deputy of RiverClan and Fishleap (Fishkit/paw then) always looked up to him. His brother, named Reedheart, was strong-minded and a little dismissive of Fishpaw. But Fishleap looked up to him anyways and dreamed bigger than life. However his mother, Ivywhisper, wanted him to become a Medicine Cat and pressured him to train as one regardless of his wishes. Fishleap and Reedheart's father was rumored to be from ShadowClan, but his name was never spoken. Growing up as a half-Clan cat and as a Medicine Cat Apprentice was tough for Fishleap. He eventually ran away to ShadowClan, to escape his mother. He was greeted by a patrol being lead by the Leader Darkstar and was taken in under their wing. Fishpaw always milled around Darkstar, trying to learn about how to be a Leader. Darkstar eventually got fed up with it and banned him from ShadowClan. Rejected and lost, Fishpaw returned to RiverClan. He was somewhat cast aside as a reject and loner, the one who betrayed his Clan to join another. Eventually, he became a Medicine Cat and was given the name Fishleap. He was conflicted during his ceremony. He had succeeded in his trainings, but this isn't what he truly truly wanted. He had wanted to be a Leader...his first patient as a full-grown tom-cat was his mother, Ivywhisper. She had gotten mysteriously sick and was on her dying days. On her deathbed, she told him that Darkstar was his father and they always wanted to keep it a secret. Having a rumor that the big and brilliant ShadowClan Leader had fallen for a small and bouncy RiverClanner would damage his reputation greatly and he would likely be cast out of his Clan. After Ivywhisper passed, Fishleap grew tired but kept his spirits up. He visited his father often, as a passerby who still tried to linger around. Reedheart still didn't know and Fishleap found peace in not telling him. Although he had a hard relationship with his mother, he found a connection with her by knowing the secret of Darkstar and her. Fishleap now lives in RiverClan and although the name of his father is never spoken, he is still treated as a castaside. However, the she-cats of the Clan find that alluring and asks him many questions about what ShadowClan was like, what Darkstar was like, etc. Fishleap is now happy/content and likes to entertain the she-cats with his stories of ShadowClan...

I hope you liked their Backstories and even if you didn't read it all, please let me know what you think them!!  I really love these Warrior OCs so so much, I cannot wait to fully design them!! ^^ Warriors was really a big influence in me and my work early on and is a big part of my childhood.
