Hello there~ Here's some of the work I've done in the past month!
I've been working on a few things and trying to fix some damn bugs that keep coming back.

Petrified body.
Leaving a petrified body where you last died with part of your money lost. Depending of how/where you died, the statue will be different, and you may not be able to get it back (if you die on spikes) But I guess I would make so you can break the statue from a distance.

Basic Death animation.
When dying, your body will petrify as your soul leaves your body to respawn in the fountain.

Corrupted grass.
I added corruption vines and dead grass around. In order to make the forest reflect what's going on in the island. The dark energy flows all around, corrupting everything and everyone.

Testing with background.
While testing I noticed the vines were a bit too tall, so I made them shorter for next versions.

Vines with pulsing stuff.
As part of the decoration, I added these roots that really give a cool effect to the forest.

Ingame test.
When adding them to the game, I made them wave from side to side, and I really liked it, so I went ahead and remade the moving grass of the game using the same method!

Grass everywhere.
Now the grass can grow in all directions on a Grass block.
There're two variations of the Grass block, a normal one, and a corrupted one, that will spawn dead grass and the corrupted vines.

Just to get an idea of how useful this waving effect is.
I added it to the title screen, it's really easy to implement, and looks really good :D

Epic Cutscene.
I started working on the moment where you get dragged into the island.

A bag of holding - Bonus Area
I started working on this area, and I wanted to make it look like a fun place. But too many stitches.

Less stitches + Texture.
Decided to add stitches only between textures.

Mr. Hat
The owner of the bonus area, Who pops out of his hat when you approach him.

I do have a few more stuff to show, but I'll save it for the next devlog. Since I made this one a little later than normal.
