Oc sketches/magpie lore (Patreon)

Been doing a lot of brainstorming on Magpiewing’s story, her family members and even how she ties into Crowsong’s story!

It’s not much artwise but for those curious to read I’ll drop some preliminary ideas cause I’m super happy and stoked on where it’s going, now I’m only praying for enough time to develop it all!

As established; Omensky and some family members joined Corvidclan when she was a small kit, the other half stayed behind on the other side of Clouded peaks (tall tall mountains surrounding corvidclan’s territory). 

This other half ventured on as well and ended up splitting even more, the major part ventured very very far and settled to eventually become a bigger clan/group again, cut to Crowsong’s and Magpiewing’s shared timeline.

Magpie lives in said clan with Midnightstar as leader (2nd image), he’s a looming monstrosity of a cat with pitch black fur, he has speckled, bioluminescent herbs on his fur and painted on his star marking, making him glow like the night sky when dark. He’s mute as a neighbouring clan committed treason during a truce-related meeting, they attempted to kill him execution-style by slitting his throat but he survived.

Magpiewing’s father (Aviansomething/4th image) is the deputy, he’s a cool dad who gave Magpiewing her passion for adventure and nature; often taking her out alone as he understood her different needs as a kit in comparison to her siblings.

Her mom will be a dark, slightly speckled and curly furred, overprotective but kindhearted cat who was far more hestitant in letting Magpiewing travel on her own. But she’s a real sweetheart and has the warmest smile

Magpiewing has lots of dreams and prophetic visions. some relating to crowsong and she is foretold to head back to the clan’s old roots, seeing a terrible future and hopes to solve it as she ventures off. 

Other visions are related to her immense stress in regards to being a healer (more about it on her toyhou.se), she sees starclan cats both in her dreams and awake . Her fear always has her running away; believing they’re the souls of those she couldn’t save. 

The other images features a random design because I love the idea of wing shaped fur put on these cats, and another little headshot that ended up being a Magpiewing/Crowsong fusion

I hope a more text based post is alright this time around, I am craving to draw and animate as soon as I can so I look forward to getting home
