What's up, homies! It's hard to believe that we're already at the season finale of this amazing first season. What a ride it's been for us as non-gamers to experience this story in such a fresh way. We can't wait to see what's in store for us in this finale.

I'm gonna agree with everyone commenting on TLOU2 playthrough. The pacing and length is almost triple the length of the first game. Also they are splitting it into multiple seasons. Would be great for one of you to play it fully before it comes out and the others blind. The pacing and hopping around will be changed dramatically I believe for a TV audience VS you actually controlling characters and their actions. Whatever you guys do though I love how much your digging the show and woof is the next couple seasons gonna be a roller coaster.

There's two or three seasons worth of material in the TLOU2 story. Note part 2 came out 7 years after part 1. You three should play through part 1 and then when part 2 starts play through episode by episode worth of material like Hector's doing with part 1 now.

So very happy I got to watch this with you guys. As a fan of the video game I think it's a great adaptation. Feels like so much love and care was put into making the show. And getting to come along as you guys experience the story has been a true joy. Seeing your reactions every week made me feel like I was experiencing the game for the first time again, in some weird but wonderful way. Just brought everything back. Thank you for letting us tag along and for being what you guys are 🌻 Hector's plan at the end also sounds great. If ya'll ever do play the game I might just shed a few

Having played both games multiple times, I just don't see how you could wait for the show to release Part II!! Lol. It's crazy to say, because Part I is a masterpiece (the game... and I would say the show at this point), but Part II is better is in every regard imo. It is just so much deeper and full of emotion.

Loved watching you guys enjoying the show. Truly added to my appreciation of the series. The podcast said one of the operating room nurses was also a major voice actor from the second game. Spoiler, so I won't say who. I definitely think they will get more than one season out of the second game.

NO NO NO NO 100x NO!! Do not play Part 2 before season 2. As someone who has played and loved Part 2, you will want to react to that in show if they follow season 2 like they did season 1. I promise you guys... my friend... homies... do not spoil that twist for yourselves. The game was great... but the show will do it better. And hey, if the season goes a different way then you can always go play part 2. But you can't unplay part 2. Shit will either make you hate the writers or... well... hate the writers. But some people hated them so much they wrote death threats because of Part 2 so don't spoil that shit for yourselves.

The thing that always gets me about this ending is how insane it is that Marlene and the Fireflies thought it'd be a good idea to immediately put Ellie under and go for the surgery. They were afraid she'd say no, just like Joel was afraid she'd say yes, so they both robbed her of any agency. If Marlene had taken the time to explain the science in detail, and run more preliminary tests, this may have been avoided. Hell, if she would have convinced Ellie, Ellie may have been able to convince Joel. Like Hector said, Marlene knew how dangerous Joel was and still took the path where he was most likely to seek revenge. For what it's worth, I also highly doubt the Fireflies would've been able to successfully produce and distribute a cure. Protecting their samples for however long it'd take to grow and mass produce them, surviving the countryside to give out the cure, not dying to raiders, cannibals, or infected at any point in that process? Nah.

I actually agree on this, do NOT play the second game before watching season 2. As a matter of fact, you have all the time in the world to play the first game, because season 2 of the show is gonna be a long way away. And even then I read they're gonna do the second game in multiple seasons.

I was waiting for the hospital massacre knowing it’s what the season was building up to, and yet it still managed to floor me. It’s such good character writing I’m very willing to suspend my disbelief re: any medical inaccuracies. Because in the game, as horrible as the scene is, you know what Joel is capable of, you’ve been on a ten hours shooting and stabbing spree at this point. In the show you’re TOLD multiple times that Joel is capable of true horrifying deeds, by Tess, by Tommy, by Maria etc, but you’re never shown until the first hints in episode 8. You’re shown plenty that Joel is protective and loving and in pain, so when you realize he’s gonna go through everyone in that hospital it’s perfectly earned and in character, and you’re rooting for him, he’s gonna John Wick this place, he’s gonna Mando it up. It’s sooooo good to see every reactor go from excited to quiet to horrified. And I don’t want to debate here if what he did is right or wrong, this is a character study, not a procedural. Killing everyone and lying about it is both justified and unjustifiable, selfless and deeply selfish, he’s protecting Ellie but also very much protecting himself from the pain of losing her. We’ve been asked several times if doing evil things makes you evil. Was Henry evil? Was Kathleen evil? The narrative has led us to answer one way or another, until Joel. Is Joel evil? Depends on who you ask. Isn’t that so very human?

Yeah this is what made LOU the game and now the show amazing, and Pedro and Bella have been giving it their all. Was waiting for the build up to the hospital scene and they did it amazingly well. The music was perfect, you want him to save Ellie - but also you don't. It's the trolley problem and they don't want to give Ellie the chance to say no - which is wrong. But also what and how Joel goes about it is also wrong. I find it interesting that he kills the firefly surrendering and doesn't kill the nurses. I'm not sure if that's the only shred of mercy he has. Also yeah - Joel isn't a good person, he's not, and the show does an amazing job of showing the hints, until finally revealing it. What a series, a joy to watch it all with you. An absolute joy.

Also pretty straight up close to the game. The scene with Ashley was new (and a great addition that was very heart wrenching.) But otherwise, pretty darn close.
