For me, I'm enjoying the fantastical elements mixing with the modern world (i.e: the humor and musical choices). Boorman is hilarious and so far my favorite character. Graydon's story got more interesting since it seems like he was exposed to some evil force at a young age. I agree, these are just young kids trying to figure out this world of magic/sorcery. There's going to be bickering and whining and fighting but hoping they will all band together at the end.

The mix of modern/real world humour, language, and music with the fantastical elements is working quite well. It can be a very tricky thing to try and do but so far the anachronistic approach is totally working for me. Kudos to the creative team!

Could Airk be in the ruins of Immemorial City?

Agustin was mentioning modern rock goes well with fantasy shows; I recently listened to Bryan Adams' Everything I do (I do It for you) and was imagining all the events/scenes/characters from the original Willow movie to this new series simultaneously as the song plays and it really feels like it fits with the overall fantasy theme even tho, it is the OST for the 1991 movie Robin Hood: Prince of theives.. That being said, I can only comment this much, even better to listen to the song, and imagine😌

The end of episode music is transformative. OMG the compositive scene with the original footage mixed together was awesome. I ship the two girls as the new Mad-Martigan and Sorsha proxies. Wasn't there a place mentioned in the Movie called the immemorial city. Could that be where we see Erik?

I love the way they are doing two enmeshed stories here. Reminders of content while telling a new story. Brilliant!! I think the music is spot on too,

I feel like they are really leaning into the barely-makes-sense sensibility of the original movie. The magic in particular. Not a criticism - this is surprising and new and the characters are full of secrets and surprises.

2023-01-01 23:32:57 I think Enter Sandman at the end of Episode 3 was to hint at the vibe for Episode 4, & Blackhole Sun might really mean Son. I like that magic has a cost to it, but Elora needs to sit Grayonce & Willow down to get clear answers!
