The red lights are not red kryptonite, that does something different to Kryptonians (like lose their inhibitions), it is red sun energy. Bizarro was fighting the soldiers last episode in yellow sun energy.

I can't remember Jonathan's girlfriend's name but she isn't the daughter of the mayor. She lives in a trailer park and said something about how she sells the drugs 'cause her father lost his job.
