Happy Monday, homies. We're continuing our journey through Superman & Lois after some very spicy revelations about Kyle. Curious to see how this will change and influence Lana's story and, hopefully, she doesn't take him back after one 5-minute conversation about family.

Stay tuned for our reactions to the finales of She-Hulk and Lord of the Rings, plus reactions to Andor, Halloween Ends, Hellraiser and more.

At this point, I'd be pretty hard-pressed to accept any Kyle redemption, beyond maybe a literal sacrifice. Besides being a generally unlikable bootlicker in season 1, guy cheats on his wife for 6 months, tells his mistress he'll leave Lana for her, then only stops the affair because of a family tragedy. Maybe he'll get beat up and set straight by the Bizarro-Kyle that respects his wife or something, but I dunno. Besides that, the intro for the episode was certainly dope, and I'm pretty sure the version with Superman towards the end was a literal mirrored version of Bizarro's, which was cool to see.

Well his actions with Edge don't bother me at all. He is never once presented evidence that Edge has EVER done anything wrong, and his actions were solely to help the community he lives in. Now Kyle over all personality isn't one I would generally associate, but that's a whole other issue. Now cheating Kyle, personally I am very happy about this development for him (not the fact that he's a cheater) but that he got caught. Even if his been faithful now for years But that it still has consequences for him. And I really like that. And lets be very clear as awful as what Kyle did, we have had other characters do worse. John made multiple murder attempts on Clark (not to mention the first local that died shortly after getting hit by his red sun missile, US law if that attack was a factor in the death then its 1st degree murder there. if his attack helped hasten the rejection then yeah its murder). Multiple terroristic attacks on Nuclear power plants, terrorist attack on Metropolis, multiple attacks on US military personnel. Lana, knowing Edge volunteers were dying, never once warned a single person she knew who signed up. Not a single one. Thats something with to her knowledge had lethal consequences, thats worse. Now the one difference in both of these is that as utterly awful as those acts were they were doing it with the intended goal of helping. But there actions are still worse, especially Johns; which would be either death penalty or multiple life sentences for his actions. Now while I do want to see Kyle suffer, and I want it to be a nice long period (and I would be perfectly happy to never have Lana forgive him to take him back), I don't see his behavior has been something someone can't learn from and improve themselves from. Of course it's Kyle so that probably won't happen....but it easily could.

Hector, on Sarah kissing a camp we really don't have enough information. Was it a make out session? Was it a friend kiss that escalated and your in such shock that it takes a few seconds before you stop it? Those are two very different examples of kissing. And unless we know its impossible to judge. I know the first time I was kissed by someone of the same sex (even when I knew I was gay but deeply in the closet) I was so shocked, that it honestly took a about 15 seconds for my brain to realize what was actually happening. And while its rare for guys to friend kiss other guys, its far more common for girls to do so. I could easily see something like that unexpected escalating when it's not your intent (and also when it is your intent). And the only things we have to go on is that , she says she kissed someone (a girl), and she didn't mean for it to happen. Thats really vague. The one thing that does seem clear is that it appears to have been a one time event. But the real circumstances are still unknown.

You guys have probably already seen the next couple of episodes but I don't think it's really a spoiler to say the various subplots do start to converge a bit.

You guys keep asking about the younger daughter of Lana and she's on the spectrum and has some sort of autism. That's why she's all withdrawn.

2023-01-01 23:35:32 I think what they were saying with the Kyle storyline here was not that he's a good guy/hero, but that the situation is not simply black & white. I am NOT an apologist for infidelity. I HATE it, but Clark's scene with Lana in the diner was helping to put the perspective on it that things really do depend on the situation and there's no set answer as to what Lana should do, in a general sense. She has to analyze her situation to see what matters to her and move forward with that. I was very glad she didn't automatically get back together with Kyle also. Both of them need to reevaluate themselves and they can't do that together.
