This came up a couple of times in the reaction, and I 100% agree: one of the things I enjoy the most is that the characters aren't static. Like, yes, as has been said, we probably won't get to see Homelander die until the series finale, but even with him we can see how he's starting to unravel because of Stormfront outshining him in the media. And now with Billy, his main motivation since the series began was just swept away, and he has to figure out what *that* means.

Love this series so much and so much watching this with you guys. No idea what is going to happen episode to episode. Although I do feel you're right, the series ends when Homelander dies. Also loved Butcher and Becca that was so heartbreaking and that feeling of them both loving each other but Becca knowing she can't for Ryan.

Heh, whenever you guys say, "WHY don't they just kill Homelander?? SOMEBODY just needs to kill him!" I think of the Arbiter from the Halo games when asked why hasn't anyone just killed "the Demon" (The Master Chief) and he just says in that wonderful Keith David voice, "Were it so easy."
