totally disagree with the x-ternally yours slander BUT i agree with your rogue's tale praise. this is my favorite SINGLE episode of the series. i can quote it verbatim, cry/get misty eyed every time. it is SO good. this show so needs all the retroactive emmys that exist. the writers and actors never got the flowers they deserved. this episode alone dealt with mental illness, teen homelessness, the victimization of the youth, found family, forgiveness, regret, redemption, all in less than 30 minutes.

an angle i have is this: create a new character (they have done it several times in tv shows and movies) who has invulnerability, flight and super strength and have rogue steal that person's powers or just have rogue be like M and just naturally have a copious amount of mutant powers. that way not only do we get to keep carol as is and dont make rogue a target for the non back issue xmen comic reading captain marvel fans, but we dont have to deal with the "but why did she keep carol's powers and no one else's? in this fight she held on for just as long or longer so is wolverine still around" discourse that is sure to come

i was a much more cerebral and emotional kid lol that was so not my reaction. i loved this episode from JUMP (i was 10 at the time). i felt so bad for ms. marvel but i also was instantly in love with her and imagined myself with her powers flying through the clouds as i would take the bus to and from school.

regarding blob vs wolverine yes they did fight in origins over a very simple misunderstanding confusing the word blob with bub

I really hope that Rogue is introduced to the MCU as a villain who steals Carol Danvers' powers. That feels infinitely more interesting than the angle taken in the 2000 X-Men movie.
