Didn't Captain Luthor say his world was destroyed? He is from a different Earth based on that line.

I was just reading an interview that talks a little bit about the future of this version… and I’ll leave it at that.

Superman is probably the most sensitive character to tackle, because its so easy to fall into the trap of trying to reinvent him or deconstruct him to avoid the "boring" tagline. But the ones that get it right understand its the struggle he has within that is the most interesting and relatable part of the character. That's why this show seems to get. Sam Lane literally captures it when he says "he doesn't get to be Superman and have a normal life. No matter how much he might want it, or you might want it." Super excited for what's next.

Yep, there were several clues. He says he and Cal have a "history." He may be a descendant of Lex from the future.

I think this Luthor could be from another Earth. He said his world was destroyed but he survived somehow. I also got a feeling he could be kryptonian, but maybe his krypton doesn’t give powers

Pretty sure I saw they already confirmed this Luthor is due to Crisis and the whole breaking and reforming situation. The same way some characters existed on Earth Prime for a little in other shows.

As a lifelong Superman fan, this is my favorite live action version of these characters. This show is beautiful and really pulls from the best of previous versions while setting the groundwork to expand upon this story and this world. Just wonderful.

This show is like an insane blender of MoS visuals, Donner's characters, and Smallville's feeling of community. Really well done all around.

I really LOVED this premier! It displays exactly why I love Clark and Lois, and in a very nice cinematic way! Plus the score is amazing. I do love the Arrowverse and hope this will still crossover. I think they just didn’t need all that baggage in the premier, but it makes more sense if they’re already more seasoned characters that they can pull from a plethora of history from throughout these previous shows. Plus didn’t we hear they’re doing like “mini crossovers” this year, like just Superman & Lois with Batwoman? etc. (Although Covid restrictions might have ruined that) Also Tulloch has talked about can’t waiting for Benoist to cameo & the whole cast stating how they felt welcomed into the Arrowverse. Idk, a soft reboot wouldn’t be bad either, entering a new era.
