Having lost in gladiatorial battle against the reigning Gladiator King and her former Avenger comrade Hulk, Thora was at his mercy. Expecting fully to enter Valhalla and reclaim her old body in the afterlife, Thora was shocked instead to see Hulk ask for her hand... in marriage. Thora hesitates for a second, planning to deliver a final blow and escape this arena, but before she knew it, Hulk had picked her up and planted a kiss... one that Thora found herself kissing back despite her instincts, shocked by the loss of her control.

After a whirlwind few weeks, Thora was pampered and prepared in wifely duties by Sakaar maidens to Thora's discomfort, not used to being surrounded by so much femininity.
