718 The Valthornes' Wish (Patreon)

Denizens of the Tower! In The Valthorne's Wish, the local authorities hire the up-and-coming characters to track undead monsters back to an unmarked mausoleum in Ebonwood Cemetery. Strangely enough, the tomb from whence the undead came is not only unmarked but there is no written record or memory of who is interred there. The locals can offer no useful information about the crypt except that it appears to have been erased from everyone's memories.

In this level-1 introductory Shadowdark adventure, the heroes explore a family crypt shrouded in mystery. The tomb contains the remains of a family whose legacy was erased from history centuries ago as punishment for their terrible crimes. Herein, the characters have a chance to make things right for many of the forgotten family by allowing them to recover their heritage and finally rest in peace. A fine adventure for would-be adventurers starting their careers.

This adventure has been designed for Shadowdark RPG through their 3rd party license. The system is meant to be accessible to OSR players and modern players alike. Adapting the material to 5e or other systems should not be difficult.
