712 Cursed Gems of Ramlaat - Lv2 Shadowdark Adventure (Patreon)

In Cursed Gems of Ramlaat, the characters learn of a set of marvelously powerful stones. They are called the Cursed Gems of Ramlaat. Rumor has it that mages and scholars have tried to possess them and paid a ruinous price for a sliver of power bestowed by the stones. Many ended up losing their sanity in pursuing this goal. Despite this, the gems are certainly sought-after by powerful beings and the characters may attempt to fence them to the highest bidder.

In this level-2 Shadowdark adventure, the characters explore an old, dilapidated structure of connected chambers, narrow hallways, and lava-filled canals. Seismic activity has caused several cave-ins that have changed the shape of the compound and caused some of the lava to overflow and flood a cavern. When the characters find these accursed artifacts an unexpected development shall threaten them as the relics have the power to influence weak-minded individuals.

This adventure has been designed for Shadowdark RPG through their 3rd party license. The system is meant to be accessible to OSR players and modern players alike. Adapting the material to 5e or other systems should not be difficult.
