681 Crypt of Endless Agony - Level-0 Gauntlet (Patreon)

In Crypt of Endless Agony, a crowd of lowly peasants seeks to change their future by plundering the crypt of King Agmenon. Legend has it that the place is dangerous but the locals believe those are all children's cautionary tales. In addition, the crypt's entrance is accessible only twice a year. They must go in now or wait for the next equinox to try. The promise of wealth causes their eyes to glimmer.

In this level-0 Shadowdark gauntlet adventure, the peasants descend into an uncharted tomb and find that the place is not as abandoned or as harmless as they expected. Even the ghost of King Agmenon himself still resides within. Only the most resourceful peasants are expected to survive this dungeon. Those who do shall soon be called to a life of adventure, danger, and glory.

This adventure has been designed for Shadowdark RPG through their 3rd party license. The system is meant to be accessible to OSR players and modern players alike. Adapting the material to 5e or other systems should not be difficult.
