666 Through the Layers of Hell (Patreon)

In Through the Layers of Hell, a level-6 Shadowdark adventure, the characters are summoned by the court mage in the capital, Harrowem. They are informed that the king was kidnapped and must rush into the gates of hell itself to save him from a terrible fate. The characters cross the veil of worlds into the layers of hell.

Sylja, the king's wizard and trusted advisor, gives the heroes an artifact to track the king's heartbeat, even within hell. The heroes must descend further and further through the layers of hell to find His Majesty.

This is an adventure that brings the characters to the layers of hell. They must fight monsters and devils until they find the king. They are up for a surprise when they find him, their employer is not who they think it was...

This adventure has been designed for Shadowdark RPG through their 3rd party license. The system is meant to be accessible to OSR players and modern players alike. Adapting the material to 5e or other systems should not be difficult.
