The Great Forest can only be saved in the Shrine of the Blue Druids! (Patreon)

Traveler! The cycle of growth and decay in the Great Forest has become unbalanced. The Blue Druids understand that this is the natural course of the forest. They help by guiding it through to the next phase. The druids use a magical pond in a dilapidated shrine in the forest to perform the Ritual of Reversal. Unfortunately, the Great Forest is slowly being consumed by the decay but the Blue Druids are nowhere to be seen.

The local authorities offer a considerable reward for adventurers and mercenaries to find the root of the problem in the forest and find a way to fight back the taint that curses it. The characters shall find answers in the ancient druidic temple. One of them may even learn the ancient druidic traditions and find a way to cast the needed ritual to heal the forest. Unfortunately, performing this arcane ceremony comes with a great physical cost.

Here's a close-up of the shrine's copper plate with the shape of a tree-shepherd. When the ritual is cast, a pillar of green light emerges from it and enlightens the forest.

The druidic pond under the temple holds the power to cleanse the forest from the taint and to infect the region with the taint. The druids use this power to guide the forest through the different phases of its existence.
