Can anyone stop the wails and screams from the Tower of Tears? (Patreon)

Traveler! Starting characters come across an interesting location in this level 1 starting adventure! This is the Tower of Tears. A shunned location in the Cerulean forest that no one approaches except for the bravest individuals. The four-story stone tower is the source of many stories and myths in the area. They call it that because strange wails, weepings, and screams come from the tower at any time, especially at night.

Those who have visited it and lived to tell the tale say that strange shadows emerge from the floor in the entrance hall. These shadows drain the strength of those they touch. No one has explored it further. If the characters agree to go, they shall find a nasty secret in the dungeon under the tower. Something that belonged to a necromancer hundreds of years ago. Perhaps they can change things for the better. Or maybe they leave with the treasure in a true display of cynicism.

Here's a close-up of the tower's entrance hall. It is ins hambles. Many others have managed to get this far when exploring the tower.

The dungeon's westernmost chamber contains three clay urns embedded with necromantic powers. Within them, there are hundreds of souls of innocent people that perished hundreds of years ago and have not yet found solace.
