What mysteries lie within the shunned Hall of the Mountain King? (Patreon)

Traveler! The characters traverse the inclement desert and reach the shunned ruins of an ancient civilization. The locals believe the place is cursed. They shun it. No one has explored it in hundreds of years. Within, the characters find that a faction of zealous dwarves has claimed the place as their own. Their leader wears a cursed crown that whispers commands he cannot deny. A dark entity is behind the dwarves' actions but there is no way to know if they are criminals too or not. Regardless, stopping the unruly dwarves requires reaching the throne room deep within the mountain.
