Denizens of the Tower!

I've been reading lots of OSR and B/X D&D material as of late and I wanted to put the danger to a dungeon again. It bothers me that we all kinda share a sense or expectation of balance within a TTRPG game. In this expectation, a party of level 2 characters going into a dungeon can expect to have their abilities tested just enough to make it challenging, but not so much more that they are overwhelmed. This is the metagame scaffolding behind the game.

Back in the days when you visited a dungeon, there was no preconception that you'd find challenges fine-tuned to your level. Underground, anything goes. You can find all kinds of this and that is what I was thinking when I wrote this adventure. This is meant for a group of level 3 characters but there are some nasty traps, encounters, and situations in this adventure. Not all challenges can be bested with sword and sorcery. It is better to not touch some things. It is better to run from others.

This is a dungeon crawl adventure the adventuring party is meant to find accidentally or visit without much prior knowledge as of what is hidden inside.

Thanks for supporting our stuff this month. It is greatly appreciated! Let us know what you think of this TTRPG adventure.

Until the next one, Elven Tower.
