388 Crypt of the Draconic Effigy (Patreon)

Denizens of the Tower!

This short adventure is about a known crypt from a bygone age that no explorer has managed to plunder yet. Some people in the nearby towns and settlements know this location as the Crypt of the Draconic Effigy. The name has nothing to do with its purpose. It's only that a group of adventurers tried to explore the place a decade ago and only one of them survived. The maimed man told a marvelous story of a deep crypt crawling with undead monsters, traps, and a large fire-breathing brass dragon.

The locals believed the tale and no one got near the crypt in years. It spawned several legends and stories to scare kids at night. In reality, the crypt belongs to a great abbot of a forgotten religion and his close followers. They live in a state of undead suffering after seeing their life deeds forgotten and without fruition. A group of adventurers in the search of wealth and adventures would do well to visit this shunned location.
