turns out, minimizing the scope of things im trying to master from everything at once gives me the time to actually master a few things instead. i was overwhelming myself tryin to rig up an anthro body all at once, so i changed gears a bit. a snake is just a face and neck, so working on this lil project was a nice change of pace.
also finally learned how to apply my own texture, which really should have been the first thing i learned >w>;;

so i got a generic snake head model im quite satisfied with done up (changed directions from the first kaa model, but im not ready to give up on that movie-accurate model just yet) rigging facial expressions still proves to be a challenge- the eyes have become very manageable, and its pretty impressive how far eyelids and eyebrows can go with expressiveness, but I cant get the face to wrinkle quite the way i want them. only got a simple cheek muscle rigged so I can at least make this noodle smile~
