Walking through the halls of the dropship he was traveling on, Gifford ‘Leviathan’ Kaldwitch yawned to himself as he heard murmur after murmur from the people of the army he commanded. It was easy for the dirty blonde man to ignore most of the words that left his subordinate's lips as they spoke among themselves, but a few always managed to stand out.

“Leviathan really was a name chosen properly for our commander, wasn’t it?”

“A name that brings destruction fits a sadistic man such as him.”

“I wonder where his next target will be.”

However, every time he heard these thoughts repeated throughout his army, it just meant he knew who to put on the front lines for the next assault. And that thought always brought a smile to the man’s lips.

“That’s for another time…” Gifford whispered to himself as he walked into the briefing room of the dropship, his smile fading for just a moment to keep up appearances for his crew. Step by step, the man with piercing blue eyes made his way to the large table in the center of the room, immediately putting his rather large hands on the edge of it and looking at the flat display of the small village that was the army’s next target. Dragging his fingers from the edge of the table and to the center, the commander lifted his finger off the surface and caused the flat display to become a 3D hologram that hovered a short distance above the table. As he looked around the room, he could see person after person filing in through the door that led into the room. “Ah, good. The Unit Leaders are here.”

“Of course, Commander Leviathan! You called for a briefing before we reach our destination!”

“Glad to see that some people here know who to listen to and who is in charge.” Gifford gestured to the holographic image that was hovering over the table, a smile coming to his lips. “This is the next village we are going to take over. As you know, the royal family is one with ravenous intent to dominate the world. We are lucky to be on the correct side of their path of destruction. However, we must move one step at a time to take over another region properly. Pick the proper resource suppliers, cut the main enemy’s powers in half, that sort of thing.” His blue eyes scanned over the few men and woman who had entered the room, seeing their content expressions. “The village has been coined by natives as ‘Sol Harbor’, probably because they think they are as important as the sun to their kingdom or some shit like that, but its proper name is ‘Oddisia’. Are any of you familiar with it?”

No one spoke up, causing the commander’s smile to fade.
