((Hello~! Mitsu here! I just realized recently that we have lost a great series… One of my favorite Manga, Ika Musume, has ended… I cried! The series must continue! So I decided to do a couple drabbles for it! It's my first time doing something out of my RWBY and Lucky Star, so wish me luck~!

Words: 1000

Genre: Slice of Life!))

“What's this?” Ika Musume asked, holding a piece of cloth in her hands. “It's too small to wear anywhere…” She flipped the small cloth around.

“It's a blindfold. You tie it over your eyes and it keeps you for seeing.” Eiko said. Ika gasped, clenching her fist around the cloth.

“It was this powerful of a weapon? And I think was just layink around…” Ika mumbled. “Can I have this?” She asked.

“Uh… Yeah, sure.” Eiko waved her hand. She was half concerned, half curious to see what the squid girl would do with this.

“Inkredible!” Ika shouted, raising it up and holding it to the sky for the world to see. She marched off to her adventure.

“Wait, we still have work!” Eiko shouted fruitlessly after the squid girl.

At The School

Kiyomi rubbed the side of her head, sweat glistening her skin.

“Take a break everyone…!” Kiyomi smiled. Suddenly, everything went dark. “Awawa?” She asked.

“I've come to inkvade your eyes!” Ika giggled. Kiyomi seemed relieved to hear who it was.

“Oh, it's just you Ika Musume… What is this?” She asked, touching the blindfold Ika had put on her.

“It's a blindfold! I was wantink to test it out!” Ika said. “Can you see, Kiyomi?” She asked. Kiyomi looked around, as if she needed to do so before she could reliably answer.

“... No! No I can't.” She said as if she had gotten an idea.

“Thank you! I'll take it back now…” Ika reached out. However, Kiyomi moved away.

“... Everyone form up! We’re going again!” Kiyomi said, the air around her taking a drastic turn.

“Uh-oh… Captain is getting serious…” One of the girls said. They got into formation as Kiyomi faced them blind.

“We're running drills!” Kiyomi’s fighting spirit shot through the roof. A drop of sweat slid down the back of Ika’s head.

“Wait, I didn't mean for somethink like this to happen…” She mumbled.

Two Hours Later

Exhaustion permeated the air as everyone laid on the ground, sweating and panting as they stared at the ceiling.

“... Good job… everyone…” Kiyomi panted, completely out of breath from the drills she had run without the aid of her sight for hours.

“There were no survivors…” Ika gave a perturbed look. “Such a fiercesome tool…” She mumbled. Kiyomi held up the blindfold with shaky determination.

“Thank you Ika Musume… This was valuable practice…” She said. Ika crept closer, almost afraid of touching the cloth now. She grabbed it and backed up quickly as Kiyomi collapsed again.

“I'll have to handle this responsibly…” Ika regarded her new power in a different light. “Bye Kiyomi!” She waved as she left the school.

She walked down the street, looking at her blindfold.

“What could I do with this…” Ika asked, humming as she walked.

“Ika-chan~!” Sanae shouted, rushing from the front! Ika gasped and brought her arms in front of her to soften the impact, Sanae too close to dodge now. She paused there until she felt that she hadn't been tackled. She looked out from behind her defense to see Sanae staring at her hand.

“What are you starink at?” Ika asked. “It's a squiddle creepy…” She mumbled.

“I didn't know Ika-chan was into such things…” She brought her hands to her cheeks and cradled her face, her face thick with blush.

“It feels like you're thinkink about weird things…” Ika mumbled, a drop of sweat sliding down her head again.

“And just to think, you came and found me of all people to share it with… Oh Ika-chan!” She shouted, hugging the squid girl. With a huge smack, Ika’s fin swatted the girl off.

“I have to go to work!” Ika shouted in a hurry before running away. She wasn't sure where she'd end up, but it had to be better than here!

Where She Ended Up

Ika Musume stood staring at her destination.

“Geez, it's already half way through the day!” Eiko scolded her. “Hurry up and get to work!” She scolded. Ika sighed and began carrying dishes.

“What can I do with this…” She mumbled, having her tentacles carry the dishes so she could hold her blindfold. She gasped lightly. “Wait… with this, Kiyomi couldn't even see…” She mumbled. “... Chizuru would be defenseless!” She said almost audibly.

She looked over at the cooking girl and devised her plan. She delivered her plates and took the blindfold in her tentacles. She quickly rushed them over and blindfolded Chizuru.

“Oh?” The girl seemed to act mildly surprised.

“What are you doing, you idiot?” Eiko asked.

“Like this, I have the advantage!” Ika Musume shouted, her tentacles rushing out to attack. Chizuru seemed to pass around them with ease, the appendages slicing as if cut by a blade. “What ink the world?” She asked as she attacked again. Like a leaf flowing through a stream, Chizuru shifted out of the way and stepped in close to Ika.

“Care to try again?” She asked seriously. Though the blindfold was on, Ika got the distinct impression that Chizuru had opened her eyes. She shriveled and whimpered.

“N-NoOoOo…” She quaked. Chizuru smiled and returned to her cooking.

“Anyone could feel the intentions behind your movements even without seeing it.” Chizuru said cheerfully.

“I think that's just you, sis…” Eiko mumbled. Ika cried a bit as she got back to work, stuffing the blindfold into her pocket for later.

OMAKE

“I don't need this think!” Ika Musume threw the blindfold into the wind, watching it carry the cloth away.

Sanae sighed, walking home from her contact with Ika. She looked to the sky.

“God, sometimes I wonder if Ika is ever going to love me ba--ack!” She nearly lost her balance as the blindfold smacked her in the face. She grabbed it and sniffed it to confirm it's previous owner. “Alright alright, I'll be quiet!” She said as she tied it over her eyes. “Thank you~!” She shouted to heavens for what surely was a sign that she was on the right path!
