Meet the reason I haven't been able to record all week.

A friend of ours needed to rehome a dog she adopted last year because her original (male) dog didn't like having another male dog in the home.

He seemed like a perfect fit for us so we made the 15-hour drive (one-way) last weekend to meet him... and we fell in love.

We've named him Winchester (yes, because of Supernatural). He's about a year old, very smart, super sweet, and is already very attached... especially to me. So much so, that he won't go to bed with my husband and our other pup because he doesn't want to be away from me. He also just whines and whines if he can hear me but can't get to me (like when I would be recording).

We've only had him for five days and he's already picked up a lot of our routines and commands. So, I'm confident we can get him comfortable with being away from me or even just lying quietly in my office while I record (he's very attention-hungry at the moment). But, in the meantime, it looks like I'll be limited to recording during times when my husband can keep him occupied.

Fortunately, he doesn't have much going on this weekend so I should be able to record everything I need to for this week, this month's Britany's Bestie picks, and next Monday's movie by the end of the weekend.

I should also be able to get Brown Sugar edited and published tomorrow (Friday).

Awww, what a good dog.

He really is. For being only a year old and not being neutered yet, it's unreal how well-behaved and chill he is. He's just a bit scared of a lot of things still and anxious if he can't see or get to his people (which is understandable right now).

Brown Sugar Update: It has been edited. However, it's going to take about 90 minutes for it to export and sync to Dropbox and I'm absolutely exhausted. So, I'm going to let it run and then I'll post it as soon as I get up in the morning.
