This maybe my favourite episode of Doctor Who. Love seeing John Simm back and I adore how Moffat writes him compared to Russell. So much more like The Master of old. Cold, calculated & just evil. The whole concept of this episode is so clever too, perfect for a Cyberman story.

Can you believe that just before season 10 aired, the BBC put out a teaser which had John Simm in it. Thankfully by that time I'd stopped watching the teasers, so I was one of the few who survived the mass spoiling! I was never really a fan of Simm's Master portrayal but oh wow this was perfect. He has since said that he didn't particularly like the way his Master was written in seasons 3 and 4, so when he got the chance to come back and put his own spin on the role he jumped at the chance.
