A Few Notes:

  • No spoilers beyond this movie unless you see that later movies/episodes have already been released. In that case, no spoilers beyond those movies.
  • This video is in a watch-along format. This means you'll need your own copy of the episode to watch alongside my reaction. This is in an effort to avoid copyright infringement.
  • If you're based in the UK (or using a UK streaming site), here are instructions for how to get your copy to sync with mine.
  • The show footage will play for the first 30 seconds with both video and audio. After that, the show footage will be silenced, and the video will be blurred for the remainder of the episode. There is also a count-up timer that begins once the episode has started. These things will hopefully make it easier for you to keep your copy of the episode synced with mine.
  • If you want to know what’s coming up, check out the schedule here.
  • If you would like to send me something, you may send it to PO Box 9324, Pueblo, CO 81008, USA.

When Marvel was close to going bankrupt, they sold the rights to Spider-Man to Sony. While they eventually were able to get the rights back to other superheroes they sold to other companies, it was not possible with Sony. Instead, Sony allows them to use Spider-Man on a case-by-case basis. Seeing you saw Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Donald Glover plays Aaron Davis, also known as the Prowler, Uncle to Miles Morales. (He briefly mentions his Nephew in the movie)

In the Toby McGuire Spider-Man movies you saw, Spider-Man had organic web shooters as part of his powers, not ones he made himself like in this movie, so it is understandable you had a bit of confusion there.
