Heads up for this episode and the next one...

A glitch happened while recording this episode that I didn't know about until I finished the recording and got a notification from my audio recording program that the audio dropped out in two places (meaning, it stopped recording two different times during the episode). Both instances were for just a few seconds.

During the first instance (about 22 minutes into the video), you'll see my video freeze for a few seconds and then catch back up. My audio and video are recorded in two separate programs so, whatever the issue was, it affected both programs at the same time but didn't affect the episode as I watching it.

During the second instance of the audio dropping out, the video was fine and I wasn't talking at the time so it didn't really matter.

BUT... I've spent the last little bit trying to figure out what caused these issues, and I don't have any answers yet. I have plenty of storage on my computer and I was using the same programs I always use (and had no other programs running).

It could have just been some random one-time fluke, but I don't want to record the next episode (especially since it's the series finale) until I've tested some things out some more and am a bit more confident there won't be similar (or worse) issues during the next recording.

Hopefully, I'll get it figured out soon and can get episode 3.12 out today still (and not also have a delay with tomorrow's Doctor Who episodes). I'll keep you posted.

A Few Notes:

  • Please no spoilers beyond this episode unless you see that later episodes have already been released. In that case, no spoilers beyond those episodes.
  • This video is in a watch-along format. This means you'll need your own copy of the episode to watch alongside my reaction. This is in an effort to avoid copyright infringement.
  • If you're based in the UK (or using a UK streaming site), here are instructions for how to get your copy to sync with mine.
  • The show footage will play for the first 30 seconds with both video and audio. After that, the show footage will be silenced, and the video will be blurred for the remainder of the episode. There is also a count-up timer that begins once the episode has started. These things will hopefully make it easier for you to keep your copy of the episode synced with mine.
  • This episode was viewed on Max.
