Hi there! I’m here now to support you on Patreon. I love this two parter as well. I agree wholeheartedly with the similarities between the Doctor dealing with the Racnoss and the way he punishes the Family of Blood. The Fury of the Time Lord. That scene is along with the Racnoss scene, is Tennant really coming into his own, as the Time Lord sick of the war in his past, furious that needless death and destruction seem to follow him wherever he goes, and my goodness a lot of people died in this two parter! I think numerous comments have drawn attention to this, but those yells are foxes I think, they do sound rather bloodcurdling don’t they?!

here super late as i’m now a patron, but i really love in this episode how martha truly comes to her own as a companion. as a younger kid who was grieving rose a little too hard i reallt didn’t like martha Simply because she wasn’t rose, but this two parter really made me feel for her and made me start turning around on how i felt about her.

I remember when I first watched these I didn’t like the lack of doctor. It threw me. I wanted the doctor. As I’ve got older, and rewatched it countless times, I’ve come to love it. It’s so effing beautiful and heartbreaking. I would definitely recommend rewatching this because it just changes your perspective - doesn’t (at least for me) take away from any of the twists or surprises. Also as I’ve got older the ending scene has often brought me to tears…
