Apologies for the delay on this one. Technology (and the Universe) are apparently still trying to test me because this export took almost three hours when it should've only taken like one. 🙄

Wow an awesome reaction to a great movie. Richard Donners direction was superb as it’s very clear that he wanted to take Superman seriously. It’s really become the blueprint for superhero origin movies to this day. The little in memory of at the beginning is in reference to Geoffrey Unsworth who photographed the movie but died before ever seeing the movie completed. The Krypton scenes have an epic scifi disaster movie feel. The outfits they wear make them look like gods. The whole production history of the making of this film which was originally shot simultaneously with Superman II (its really two parts of one saga) was by all accounts a nightmare but when you do eventually get to Superman II I’m sure someone will tell you about it……….hahaha

The scene when young Clark decides to go North with the Crystal and says goodbye to Ma kent always reminds me of Luke staring into the twin sims of Tatooine, both two young men going off towards their heroic destiny…………LOVE IT
