These memory dives are, if I may be permitted to say so myself, really awesome. But they've proven to be incredibly time-consuming. I'm beginning to roll them out with this post, but they're still not done. Partly there's just so many pieces that need to be juggled to bring them together successfully that I need to (a) be on my main computer so that I can have multiple monitors to do the work at all efficiently and (b) it takes a fair amount of time just to re-orient myself when I sit down to tackle them again. Between holidays, a sick kid, two games arriving in the warehouse (Magical Kitties Save the Day and Bring Me the Head of the Comte Saint-Germain for Unknown Armies) + two more books heading to the printer (Burning Dragon for Feng Shui and the Series Workbook Pack for Magical Kitties), there just hasn't been enough opportunities for me to get the necessary focus.

If you want to see a deeper insight into my design process for this, check out Designing An Adventure: Remixing Avernus on Twitch.

In any case: My hope remains to wrap these up soon. I'd really like to start tackling the Avernian Hexcrawl in depth soon! (I'm also operating under the probably delusional fantasy that I might still wrap up this Remix before we hit the one year mark of starting the Remix last year.)

Our January hangout will be TOMORROW -- Saturday, January 16th @ 4pm. Add that to your calendars now!

Remixing Avernus - Part 6D-H: Lulu's Memories (The Four Memory Dives)

In the Remix, there are four "memory dives": The Vision From Torm The Dream Machine Claiming the Sword Zariel's Spark In each case, the players are given the opportunity to play through the events of the past. In some of the memory dives, the players will take on the roles of NPCs in those scenes.

Since my party is currently in Elturel (which I'm expanding in hopes of not catching up to you) I appreciate you putting this out already :) (Minor detail which may or may not be intentional on your part, but Zariel's hair is teal in the official art, not gold)

This is absolutely fantastic piece. Paraphrasing the Dude from Big Lebowsky "It ties the Campaign together".

Don't know if this is more work for you, but I'd love to get an updated remix PDF with this in it, for searchability.
