Random GM Tip - Surprising Scenario Hooks

Let's say that you have a scenario featuring a pack of werewolves that have taken up residence in a ruined castle a few miles away from a small village. What scenario hook could you use to get the PCs involved in this scenario?

I’ll go further: all the articles on GM 101 - including Node-Based Design - have radically changed the way I GM, inspired my own podcast, and shifted me to an entirely different style of play that is much more useful to my players. This post is great — captures a huge percentage of games without dismissing any of it for being common. Also... yeah, why is it that when werewolves assume their wolf form, they eat people instead of, gee, I dunno, maybe... deer?
