As the PCs become embroiled in the Grand Game, Jarlaxle does not control an Eye. Nevertheless the Sea Maidens Faire and his ships are likely to become a target for a heist before the campaign is done: As noted in Part 1 and Part 5, Jarlaxle sold the nimblewright which murdered Dalakhar and can identify the purchasers.

Hi Justin, I'm loving all of this (and just made you blush on twitter). There's one point here that I'll likely tweak, and wanted to let you know: if someone killed my mom and took her crystal ball, I don't think my driving motivator would be the recovery of the crystal ball; revenge sounds more likely. I'll likely have the story be that Jarlaxe stole the crystal ball from the party that killed Zelifarn's mother. That way the PCs won't have to wonder why Zelifarn isn't just trying to kill Jarlaxe and /then/ take the crystal ball.

It's true. Dragons are cold-hearted beasts. ;) To be more accurate, it's that their priorities are simply wired differently: Restore the horde. That is paramount. Anything less is sacrilege. Restore the horde. THEN bloody vengeance can be meted.
