こんにちは!Hello!
This time we'll learn how to use "てみる" (= "to try ~ing") and "ようとする (= "to try to ~ / to attempt to ~") in Japanese.

This grammar point is VERY important and frequently used in Japanese so make sure to master it!

For example, if you want to say "May I try this on?", you want to use this form てみる and say

「着てみてもいいですか。」(kite-mite-mo ii desu ka)

Hi Misa, is it correct to use the ている/ています constuction to say im’trying ? Ex. “日本語 で話してみている” , im’ trying to speak in japanese. Thank you
