Using fanart as a vehicle to play around with art outside my normal obligations has been a lot of fun. I struggle sometimes with doing art just for the sake of it, but making these recent one-shot paintings in a day has been a great way to get back to that.

This piece is from an obscure anime created by the legendary Yoshitaka Amano of Final Fantasy fame. It's a lesser known, but it's also very influential on games and movies. For instance, there are a number of very specific references to this movie scattered around the From Software games.
