Azrael, Death - WiP 1 (Patreon)

Putting Azrael on the Death card for the Tarot was the biggest no-brainer ever. The main challenge is doing something new with him since he's the Angel I've illustrated most often over the years.

One of the big themes of the Death card is transition, so I wanted to have him traveling from left to right, similarly to how Eli Minaya drew him for the first Angelarium book.

Since I'm so familiar with Azrael as a character, I want to play around a little and stylize this piece more than I usually do. Updates soon!
