Despite this whole piece going smoothly up to this point, the color palette and final conceptual elements have been annoying elusive. I must have spent 6 hours fiddling with both the colors and the head before having things snap together thanks to a series of accidents, which is normal.

I've slogged my way through so many creative quagmires through the years that a tiny mess like this doesn't really have much of an impact on me anymore. Whenever the painting resists my intentions, I usually just persistently poke at it until it finally cracks open. Speaking from experience, this works better when dealing with paintings more so than with people.

Handling creative roadblocks is a tedious process that I prefer to handle privately, which is why I typically don't like to record or broadcast my painting much. However, I'm planning on playing with the idea of broadcasting my painting process again. Later today, I'll be taking another swing at steaming. Just as soon as my collaborator Eli is free to join me. We're going to chat about the project a bit and answer questions while I continue to prod Remph into shape.

It'll go live on my Twitch channel when we do it and should archive there for a couple weeks if you miss it: https://www.twitch.tv/petemohrbacher
