One of the influences for Angelarium comes from the Sublime art movement. This piece in particular is drawing inspiration from Sublime artists for its color palette and textures.

It's wild to imagine that a pattern of colors and material could somehow embody the feeling of being overwhelmed by a huge and indifferent world, but that's the power of art. My hope is that by applying the lessons learned from these classical art pieces, that I'll be able to achieve some small bit of what they were able to.
