Baraqiel - WiP 2 (Patreon)

This is a piece that was mostly fully formed in my mind before I started working on it. That's a situation that I normally warn aspiring artists against because our minds are exceptional at tricking us into thinking our ideas are all good. The hope is that if I follow my stylistic references (Phil Hale in this case), that I'll be able to pull through despite unfavorable circumstances.

The truth is that is really is coming along very easily considering how much I chewed the idea up in my head before I got to the painting part. Having not painted for almost 3 weeks has left me feeling a deep need to do it.

The trick now is going to be the part where I render the whole thing out without loosing the energy. Here's to hoping. Gadreel had a similar challenge and that one went well, so maybe lightning will strike twice. (pun intended)
