The giant tree brain god is taking shape brush stroke by tiny brush stroke.

One might assume that as a digital artist that I have a shortcut to add a bunch of tiny branches. Like, a fancy custom brush or shortcut or something. The truth is that I typically just use a simple round brush and spend time listening to something interesting while I work. Part of being a professional artist is being willing to commit the time and attention required to make the art look the way it needs to. Sometimes that means making lots of tiny marks on a big canvas.

This is probably the hardest lesson to try and teach people (and accept myself). I think it’s part of the myth that art is all raw talent and enjoyment and not ‘proper’ work. This piece is shaping up to be one of your best I think!

Honestly, this is turning out way better than I expected. Not that I doubt your ability, you're literally my favorite artist, but usually when I love one of your paintings, I can immediately tell from the sketch alone. Keep it up, Peter!
