Reward Tier Changes (Patreon)

Hey guys,

I've been talking about changing up the rewards here on Patreon for a while now and I'm finally going to start rolling them out. The first change, effective immediately, is that I'm eliminating the $75 reward tier. That means no more Limited Edition print subscription and a cut to my monthly paycheck.

My hope for this change is that it'll mean cutting back on the amount of time I spend printing and shipping. Moving away from monthly releases means more freedom to work on more art.

Legacy Prints

Next month, I'm going to be merging the two differently priced Legacy Print tiers into a single $40 per month print subscription. That's how they are priced at conventions and I want to make their price consistent across all platforms.

That means all three physical reward tiers are going to be crunched down to one. That's the real goal here. I want to make everything simpler and more straightforward going into the next phase of this project.

Digital Reward Tiers

After getting all the physical rewards simplified, I plan to do the same for the digital rewards as well. That should be in March. The $1-$10 tiers are all going to get smushed together to make a unified $5 subscription tier that includes all the digital rewards.

I'm hoping that switching everything over to a single subscription price means that I can offer more benefits to more people. I've got plans to include more and better benefits to being a Patreon subscriber and I'd prefer not to gate that stuff based on subscription tier.

In order to not leave the $1 subscribers left out entirely, I'm going to be opening up the Discord server to the public and work to improve it as a place to hang out and share art. I really love that there is a little community surrounding this project and I really want to do right by you all.

As these changes roll out I'll do my best to keep everyone up to date.
