Suphlatus, The Patient Hand - Colors (real) (Patreon)

After peeling the color back out of this piece, I thought about what colors I WANTED to be there rather than which ones I thought SHOULD be there. Letting a 'should' into the creative process is always death. Whenever I try to help a struggling artist, this is always what I try to impart on them but it's not a piece of advice to take, even if you know it well.

Rather than waiting for some eventual special edition of the Suphlatus to do a striking limited color palette, I decided to skip to the good part. The intensity of it was speaking to me and I started having way more fun with it as soon as I committed to this solution.

Most of the time if the piece makes me happy, it makes you guys happy too! So I hope you like the choice for this one :)
