This is a character I think about a lot, so making a new piece for him has been going very smoothly. The sketch was finished almost immediately and the color has fallen in place just as fast.

The palette in this piece is similar to a favorite old personal painting of mine called "Wake". The muted green tones and ruddy golden hues make for a simple addition to any painting that already has clearly established lighting and values. It's easy to keep the palette very limited because the most vibrant versions of these colors mix together very naturally to create warm and cool variations of each other. That makes it easy to paint light and shadow by splashing a little orange on anything being lit and splashing a little green on anything going into shadow.

Id like to know where Mr. M finds these 'stories' about the Fallen Angels...ive looked everywhere and cant find anything.....Theres the ARS GOETIA and the 72 Christian/Judeo Demons...But on Fallen Angels nothing....Anyone have a link/know where to look?

Most of Angelarium is based on those things, but some of it is just fabrication. It's not a "historical" or "accurate" portrayal, to my knowledge, especially since some of these characters have only a name and very little if any description. As far as I know, it's just inspired by those sources.
